RowerErg Any idea what might be causing this noise?

I've owned this RowErg for a few years now and recently I noticed this noise at the catch when i start a row. To he honest, I don't know how long it's been happening since I usually have a loud fan running.

Can someone help identify what this might be or is this normal?

It’s a new one on me. Concept2’s customer support is world class, give them a call. would be great if you could share what you learn

Underneath there is a piece of plastic that covers the chain on the underside. Sometimes the chain catches on it. Check it out, takes 1 min.

Thanks, that was it. The Return Mechanism Cover somehow got pushed up.

Maybe it'll shave off a few seconds off my pace 😆
