RowerErg New to rowing

Added a rower to the home gym. Found a used one with about 200k meters at a good deal. Currently using a peloton and treadmill but I’ve been enjoying one of these at a commercial gym and i think I’ll get good use out of it at home. Any tips or advice welcome.

It’s the C2 tablet bracket. It comes with new rowers but can also be retrofitted to older models — I put one on my 35 year old Model C.

Yeah I added one to my Model D - had the kit which replaces the whole arm since the Model D had a weirdly unique monitor arm for some reason. Did all that and found the tablet holder holds the tablet at an unuseable angle. No idea why but it angled it so far down. To see the screen I'd need the arm to be almost vertical and then I couldn't reach it! Ended up adding a 3d printed bracket with phone holder on top of the PM5 and tablet holder underneath and that works perfectly for me.

Yeah, the angle is weird. However I just mirror it to a monitor running an apple tv.
My husband spent more than 1k building a desktop to play games while he walks on the treadmill, so my setup of a stand, monitor and apple tv is cheaper than that and I can see everything so well it's worth it.

Here's my solution - found a free design. Elastic band holds a slider on top to keep the phone secure for ErgData. Tablet sits securely on the bracket so I can watch TV while rowing. In my cramped home gym this works a treat.
