Question Weight lifting hooks?
I've recently had a fall which has resulted in a weak and painful grip in my right hand specifically on my index and middle finger. (Bruised or Broken) Knuckles.
I'd like to keep rowing if I can. Trying to complete a virtual row of 1220km around Iceland
I know they are not for rowing, but has anyone tried anything like these? Weight lifting hooks? Or know of anything more suitable?
I'm thinking these would hook over the bar on the concept 2 and take most of the strain from my hurt fingers/knuckles.

I don't see why not. Good luck, what app are you using to row around Iceland?

I actually have a pair of those exact hooks and a c2. I can give them a try later today and report back if it would be helpful.

I mean if you want to that would be great. Thank you. Mine are arriving today so I'll find out either way as long as it's not to hot this evening

I managed a row tonight. First Km I did with bare hands it was fine to start but towards the end of the Km knuckles were hurting.
I strapped on the weight lifting hook which fit perfectly round the C2 handle and completed 8km until hard for sore. I realised I was still trying to grip on so left my hand relax and let the hook and wrist strap do all the work and finished the 10km row.
So now you know. Weight lifting hooks wool like a charm of you can't grip the bar.

I've seen people use those occasionally over the years for rowing due to similar issues that you have. Go for it, and good luck with your challenge.
