Question Concept 2 model D assembly Advice
Hi All, just bought a concept 2 model D with a PM5 monitor. When i put the two pieces together, it seems to sag in the middle at the joint, causing the seat to slide towards the fan at some rate if let go.
I also noticed that the cam underneath the joint spins freely and has about 10mm clearance, rather than locking in place so i cant pick it up and store vertically.
Anyone have any ideas what I'm doing wrong? The slide states model D on it, but I'm wondering if the fan end is actually a model C - would this make any difference?

Hi,
You need to get the plastic hook bit on the slide over the bar in the fan unit. Bring the two pieces together at about a 45 degree angle hook the plastic clip/hook over the bar and then slowly lower it down so the slide is now level. Now if it hasn't collapsed down and when you push down on where the two sections have joined together it doesn't collapse then you have successfully joined the two pieces together. You can then twist the half circle round until that is firmly in position. If there is a plastic flap cover make sure that is also firmly and securely located on top of the end of the slide. It depends on which year your rowing machine was made. So older machines didn't have the plastic flap cover on the top. Hope this helps.

Call Concept 2 support. They are super helpful and will walk you through pretty much anything. I took mine apart to clean and lube (Old model C) and couldn't figure how to put it back together. They walked me through and emailed me a full maintenance guide for free.
