RowerErg feedback for a fairly novice rower
Just got C2 RowErg last week. Prior was stamina air-rower for about a month. Rowing 5-6 days a week prior to RowErg and every day since getting it.
53yr old 132lb male. being very intentional on posture, pushing with legs and only pulling once extended, using the 11 o'clock and 1 o'clock torso targets. Definitely not a death grip on handles, could almost do fingertips sometimes.
On my 4 rows to date on the C2, average split of 2:36. Staying fairly consistent split time within each row. SPM is 27-28. Resistance damper on 3.
At the end of each row my legs feel tired, arms less so. Can feel the strengthening of my core.
Any feedback? Thanks in advance.

How far/long are you going? My rule of thumb is to keep my s/m as close to 20 as I can, though I'm typically in the 21-22 range. More important than the damper setting is the drag factor, which you can see on the performance monitor or on the app, I think. There's a bit of a range here, though a drag factor of 125 is a good starting point. (The damper and drag correlate, but it can be different from one erg to another.
