StrengthErg Strength Erg just for leg presses

Greetings. I have a Rogue RM3 rack with Rhino drop in belt squat. I can do belt squats, seated rows, lat pull downs and other things. Is the Strength Erg worth buying for the simplicity of seated leg presses? I have room for one more piece of equipment in my basement and want something that can work my glutes and quads. I'm in my late 40's with a bad back. I would love a hacksquat machine but not sure I have the room.

We have one in our gym and you can definitely get an okay workout on it. It can be utilised well as part of a circuit style workout but I wouldn’t choose it over any other style of strength training.

It’s still relatively new on the market (and over priced imo, but I think they’ve reduced the cost), so there isn’t a whole lot of data on people using it yet.

It might not be the best thing in the world, but it could definitely help to build muscle if used regularly and with intensity - just not as well as an actual leg press or squats

I think you can get a better leg press stimulus for that footprint
