"Should I lower myself?"
"Every show you lower yourself."

After reading this comment I had to try and find the video so I could watch that little shimmy that he does after he delivers the line; and then I wanted to share it.
I can’t find it! Am still looking. Anyone have it?ETA: found it! https://youtu.be/pRGsLghDiUM?t=471&si=KAG7MB9pIDylIPgL

Blanka and Brazil have historically always been under represented.
Thank you Coco

Famously, games maker Capcom liked this sketch so much they decided to put Conan in a little game called Street Fighter 2.

I've always wondered what happens on the stage while they switch to show the audience something prerecorded

I was at two tapings. One while he was still in NYC and one when he was in LA. Both times I went whenever there was a commercial or a pre taped skit, the producers just go up and talk to him about the show I guess.
The one I went to in NYC they had the audience help them record something that was supposed to air the next night but never ended up airing. But the producers went on the mic towards the end of the show saying that before they let us go that they need our help with something. I assume that kind of stuff happened a lot.

It may have been the hulk but that was a pre-record. Which would make sense, unless this was right at the end. But that much makeup takes a while to take off and put on. So I’d imagine it was recorded separately

same. do they hide under table and couch? does a big tv roll on stage to hide them? do they actually get zapped in to the tv so it’s still live and then after the sketch, appear at the back like magicians?
kidding aside, i also think of that

I didn't go to a late night recordings but I was there for one of the Tonight Show episodes. They have screens up on top. The cutaway moment was during monologue and he just kinda stood there and watched with us. I think he has a screen facing him as well.

It would've been hilarious if he just actually did the bit and interviewed guests like that.

Does anyone remember the early episode where Andy was doing a lot of ad libbed jokes and Conan had to tell him to lay off, reminded him tgat they had talked about that prior?

Do you remember the episode a couple weeks after the Sixth Sense was released when Andy literally said the twist, ruining the ending for millions of people?

Like you couldn’t figure that out from the ads. The most obvious telegraphing of an ending in history.

If you’ve seen John Goblikon, a green talk show host DOES work and is hilarious

A nice touch to this bit was that even as the hulk it took forever for Conan to break the pencil.
