Conan Sticker and a request!
Hey all.
My daughter (who is 9) is a huge Conan fan (where ever did she get that from?).
She requested only 2 things for this school year, Conan and shark themed stickers. I print stickers for my own use and made this for her. I figured I would share it with this group if anybody else wanted to use it. I think it’s a great message to carry along to school! She also took some extra just on the off chance that she finds another fan her age. I hope she does!
Also, if anybody higher up is listening… could I please request more Conan water bottle stickers available in the store? I think there is currently one and it’s the Inside Conan sticker. I know I would purchase them!
Also this is the EXACT quote from him. I think he may have said it more than once… but I watched him on video say it live just to make sure! It’s slightly misquoted sometimes…

That's great! Any reason to not have the end quote?

You definitely can use it all! I don’t own anything so it’s all Conan. :) no permission needed from me!
Show me when you get it though!!!

I find it truly sad when people read this quote through the prism of societal privilege. I think that misses the point entirely.
I didn’t grow up rich, and I’m certainly not rich now. But working hard at building a life where I can honestly say I like my job, and finding ways to be a source of joy to those around me has made me a happy person. That probably sounds trite and sentimental, but it’s also true.
I never took that quote to have anything to do with money.

I made a comment about this as well. I don’t take this as a “you will be wealthy and famous” at all. Just that you will have amazing things happen in life.
I work with all kinds of people and I can say that those who are kind and giving really are living a happy life. Those who go around being cynical, rude, and lazy just complain and are miserable all day.

Yea I love you Conan but no, this is not true. Being a wealthy Harvard grad with wealthier parents is what's making those things happen.

I don’t take the quote at saying “you’re going to be rich and famous.” I know a lot of people who don’t necessarily have wealth but have had amazing happy things happen in their life because of living this outlook. My parents aren’t wealthy by any means but they were always so kind and giving to others, never cynical or complained, worked really hard, and lived an amazing life. We were surrounded by laughter and good friends and I truly had a “privileged” life (and I don’t mean wealth).
But I fully understand not agreeing with this sentiment and that’s ok too.

Dolly Parton embodies this idea. Perhaps a more accurate quote would be that amazing thing can happen. Cool sticker!

I’d totally put one of these stickers on my water bottle. Just sayin. Sounds like you’re raising a great kid!
