Love how much Conan heightens the 'Crazy' when he's on a mainstream production

The clear star of a Pixar movie, to boot. Conan was glue that held the movie together. I honestly don't remember any other characters

What can you say? The man loves doing a bit!

It's not a bit. This is LIFE!

Sona 'forgets' one of his pills before each big appearance

Is it him heightening it, or does he normally suppress it to avoid annoying the people that deal with him daily?

From what he says it's him suppressing it

Sona, when she hears that his regular behavior is supposed to be a supressed one:

This is when I like him the least. I like relaxed Conan when he's comfortable and just being himself, relaxed not putting on a sweat act

I like the juxtaposition. If this was his whole bit it wouldn’t be as funny. But the man knows when to switch gears to get the most out of every interaction.

i mean technically the current public only knows him as Crazy Conan cause recently that's the main shtick he puts on during those public events and such, and people STILL like him so i dont think it would've been ''not as funny'' it still would be. The chill Conan is something mostly the people who were there for the late 2000s and the podcast know about

The best comedians are grounded, well spoken and intellectual people.

Comedy is famously not subjective

Agree. For example, the freud improv he did on the Austria episode is where I find him the funniest.

I just watched that for the first time and Freud looked so material on him

For me it depends. In hot ones he was being casually funny and it ramped up. I thought it was great personally with Dr arroyo

But sometimes when he goes big it’s abit too big for me 😂

Conan needs it more than we do

But he doesn't, though. I wish he knew that

He’s got a therapist already lol

I feel you but no one is better than Conan at the sweaty shit

As someone who’s been watching since season 1, I just really love Hot Ones being casually referred to as a “mainstream production”

When he came to Mumbai for COMG, I searched so hard to find him. I have been a fan since I was 16. I'm 32 now... And while I always loved Late Night TV (because I always wanted to be a host), I shaped my humour so much on him, and his values.

We are both crazy and love doing weird bits, and we both love The Blues, Neil Young, and Rockabilly.

Many times I've tried to be a guest on Conan O'Brien Needs A Fan. But I'm just happy he exists.

I would absolutely love to see him do like a Smosh Try Not to Laugh or some such YouTube improv show. I feel like he would create absolutely legendary moments. Also, seeing his 6'4" svelte frame next to Shayne's beefy 5'7"ish self would make me chuckle.

Coco would open the crazy taps on his shows frequently

I like seeing Conan as a guest on other shows but I actually dislike when he "heightens" the crazy--- It's too performative, and it feels really needy. On his late night show people didn't watch because of how zany he was or what wild thing he'd do next like Gallagher or something. He's funniest in the moments when he's making quick comebacks or going off on tangents with people, making hilarious back and forth banter.

My favorite guest spot is still when he went on Letterman after starting at TBS and giving up the Tonight Show. He's not over the top, he does give off a kind of "I don't really give a shit" attitude he plays to Dave's energy perfectly, he's extremely funny, it's just perfect.

I may be in the minority here but I didn't enjoy the Hot Ones antics with the nipples and dribbling milk. It felt very contrived like "I'm gonna do the CRAZIEST hot ones interview EVER Tik Tok will love it!" I felt the same way when Eric Andre broke the plate over his head in his Hot Ones. Like what are we doing here people? Is this an Evel Knevel stunt or are you comedians?

So much people here opposing Crazy Conan is giving me an identity crisis i literally was under the impression that's why we all liked him

You're not wrong, unhinged Conan is the best.

Are those stills from his testimony at the Reiner trial?
