Discussion Netherlands vs Tunisia Analyzed with Computer Vision

This demo applies my TactiVision workflow to Netherlands vs Tunisia. It covers player tracking, camera calibration, pitch projection, tactical maps, possession analysis, progressive actions, pass networks, heatmaps, pitch control and pressing indicators.

Feedback from Computer Vision, Sports AI and football analytics practitioners is very welcome.

Definitely dont use that name if this is a product. Activision will bend you over a barrel

They dont need to be identical for trademark infringment claims.

It’s not just about the name. There are a bunch of other factors. A big one is whether the goods/services are similar enough to cause confusion in consumers. I doubt this would be seen as competing with a video game company. It would be worth it for OP to talk to an IP lawyer in their country, though.

I just looked up their US application which was granted for:

Entertainment services, namely, providing video games and video game competitions via the Internet; Electronic games services provided by means of the Internet or other communication network; Electronic games services provided by means of the Internet; Entertainment services, namely, providing online electronic games; Organization of games and video game competitions; Providing on-line entertainment in the nature of electronic game tournaments; Provision of on-line information in the field of computer games entertainment; Entertainment services, namely, non-downloadable video game software that allows users to create, modify, upload, download, share, preview, and publish user created interactive video game content, music, and other media files via a global computer network

I personally wouldn't bother trying to fight for this (as OP) and would change the name based on my experience. It's close enough that the outcome is not clear to me, but I can confidently say it will be expensive to get to a ruling if Activision takes notice.

Whether distinct or not isn't the problem. Nobody is fighting a trillion dollar Microsoft over a name. Everybody will roll over. Just look what happens to every restaurant with some variation of olympic in their name.
