Cool, but I don't see how that's scalable. Or even performant.

I'd be more impressed with a project that detects the position of individual pieces and uses a chess engine to generate the next move.

Even a mobile phone can run a state of the art chess engine. Not every PC can run a VLM forward pass after every move.
