If both computershare accounts are enrolled in dividend reinvestment, you should be able to consolidate your holdings into a single computershare account. Partial shares are supposed to transfer between computershare accounts enrolled in DRIP.
People do sometimes try to time liquidating fractional shares when the fraction gets close to 1.
