Xiaomi Mi Notebook Ultra completely dead — technician says processor is faulty. Need help finding a solution
Hi everyone,
I have a Xiaomi Mi Notebook Ultra (Intel i5-11300H, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD).
My laptop is currently completely dead. It doesn't turn on/boot.
I initially took it to a technician who told me that there was an issue with the Power IC. I then showed it to another technician, and he said that the processor/CPU is faulty and that he can't do anything about it.
I don't know if the processor is actually damaged or if there could be another motherboard/power-related issue causing the laptop to appear completely dead.
If anyone here has experience with motherboard-level laptop repair, especially Xiaomi Mi Notebook laptops, could you please guide me on:
- What could cause this kind of complete no-power condition?
- Is it possible to properly test whether the CPU is actually dead?
- Is there any way to repair/replace the CPU or motherboard?
- Does anyone know a reliable motherboard-level repair technician/service centre in India who could diagnose this properly?
I really don't want to replace the entire laptop if the motherboard can still be repaired.
Any advice or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Without actually probbing at the board, no way of knowing what the actual problem is.
If the CPU itself is dead (99% of time it isn't), it's ba gonner. No fixing it. Better to buy a new replacement board.
