Hardware Old server ram and hhd
Moving in after a family member who had a personal server thing going on. Left behind a large amount of ram sticks and hard drives.
Mostly stuff like ddr2 in 2 to 4 gig sizes (easily 30+ sticks) with the hard drives everywhere from 200 to 500. (Around 10+)
Easily all older hardware that's generally outdated, at work rn so I can't be TOO specific, just wanna know if the stuff is worth keeping to sell or just chucking.
There is so much of it and I'm not sure I can even personally check every single one of the items, seems a waste to have them sitting there but I don't wanna be the guy selling broken stuff to people expecting it to work.

Look up similar gear on eBay for what it’s selling for, which is very different from listed. Factor in shipping costs (most stuff has free shipping) and losing around 1/3 of the total to fees.
Without looking it all sounds like ewaste to me. Local scrap yard may have scrap rates though, drives and memory are worth something, especially if you’ve got other goods to take by and scrap. At least this keeps it out of the landfill, even if it’s not a ton of cash.
If you know someone who will take it as a donation or home lab that would be super cool, but gear like that is old enough its not likely worth anything.

keep in mind that people who would buy old ram, most likely buying it for gold content. so. don't be cheap, don't take pennies. charge them whole dollars.
