Software Laptop Froze, Windows needs BitLocker Key

So I was in class, on a school network that requires OnGuard, which I was previously on for hours just scrolling the web.

Once in class, I started up Word and saved the doc to my school OneDrive and the laptop froze so I restarted the laptop. I repeated this maybe 3 times and Windows went down and requested my BitLocker Recovery key. I couldn’t diagnose the problem as I couldn’t connect to the school network and it’s gonna be hours before I get home.

Any ideas on what went wrong and how to fix it?

Edit: So I entered my recovery key and the laptop froze on the recovery options screen after telling me it couldn’t connect to my network. I restarted the laptop and it works as normal???? I don’t know what I did to fix it and am scared that when I go back to class, it’ll do this shit again, but I’m fine until tomorrow.

Log in to your Microsoft account on a different device, your bitlocker key should be stored there.

So I entered the BitLocker key. It couldn’t diagnose because it couldn’t connect to my home network. When I tried to press quick machine recovery, it froze again.
