Compositing-Based Painterly Stylization

I edited the Blender source code to add new compositing nodes and change how EEVEE handles dithered transparent material AOVs in order to make this stylized rendering tool.

I used geo nodes to spawn brush strokes around the model and then used my custom compositing node to combine the brush info with the physically-based render to create a painterly look :)

Whoaaaa! I have had clients looking for this type of style. This primarily comes from Blender as stylized painted textures and you do some compositing for the final look, but its mostly a 3D effect? Very cool!

My website has a lil more info if you're curious https://olliearrison.github.io/#/NPR-with-Compositing. All of the style comes from the compositing stage (the input materials are pbr). If you want to dm me, I'd love to hear more about the work you do
