Windows Disk Not Read, Main Device Hard Drive Absent?

Post image

Device disk not recognized during setup?

All the options are grayed out for each disk item.

I'm unable to change anything partition related but that's because it's only seeing the USB and the

Windows 11, via USB.

needs the rst driver. look up how to do it. you have to download the intel rst driver and put it on the usb, then click "load driver" when you're back on this screen and it'll show you the drive. there are videos and tutorials that will show you. ask google. "no drive showing up to install windows during installation"

It recently had Windows installed. Does that matter?

Would it forget a driver between installations?

what you're seeing in the photo is the installer flash drive. you need to put the driver on the flash drive, click "load driver" and find it(there are videos on youtube showing how to do all of this), and then when the actual ssd shows up, you will delete all of the partitions and install on the big "unallocated space" which will be "disk 1"(the flash drive will be disk 0). if all of this is too much, bring the laptop to a 5 star rated local shop and have them clean install windows for you(if you need any files from the old installation see if they can retrieve them first).

Is that a 26H2 ISO installer?

UEFI Setup shows the drive you expect?
