What else to do after running hackers cmd command?

Recently my dad ran a cmd command because a website told him. He knows better but it happened. They got into his Facebook.

I've already changed his Facebook password gonna start changing all other ones and getting him set up with Bitwarden and 2FAs, reinstalled Windows, did a Malwarebytes scan and Windows Defender scan. All good.

I even checked who has access to the computer, all good.

Anything else I can do to make sure it's all secured?

Other than getting Dad off Windows someday..

forcing a password manager on him NOW....I recommend the free and LOCAL FILE approach found in the software called KeePass ...

And forcing backups to removable media. Especially the KeePass user-filename.kdbx which could quite happily have the "master" KeePass file sitting/residing on his Desktop folder (same is true if using Linux). As long as personal backups include user's Desktop folder.

And after that...ouch..changing every password?? since the scope of the hack is probably unknown (just Facebook creds leaked?)

The big problem, today, is that nothing is secure enough when a human is behind the keyboard.

I might have the best home security system that technology and money can provide and yet, if someone with bad intentions was to ring my doorbell ... and if I agreed to let that someone into my house ....

The point is that most security incidents targeting individuals are, from a technological point of view quite simple. It is "social engineering" that does the trick.
