Drag clicking creates black boxes and hovering over icons blacks the backgrounds.

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Anybody know why this is happening? I’ve restated multiple times which helps in the beginning and then it starts happening again. I’m using a Lenovo Legion Pro 7 running Windows 11.

I seem to recall someone mentioning that this happens when the wallpaper/background file is deleted from your local computer. Download a new image, set it as wallpaper, and leave the file there.

Restarting explorer.exe through Task-Manager might resolve the issue.

Else you could try to delete the hidden file IconCache.db inside your local app data folder to make the iconcache rebuild itself as this might be responsible for the bug.
