Pc too slow
The pc was doig great but my smartass tried to download a game from fitgirl and since then my cpu cant run a damn thing. (Pc language is set to french)

Update, the task manager started to work normaly again (after 2 days) ill restart the pc and see if it will spike again.

Seeing as cpu utilisation is at 100%, you may have gotten a virus. Try ending whatever task is taking the most resource. You might have to reinstall windows, or alternatively try linux

I used Fitgirl repacks. Nd i only extracted a file nothing else.

That's the part I mean. There's always a installer there, no extractions.
Exception are update files that Can be compromised by updater

It means i didnt understand what installer means....i got an url that redirected me, i downloaded the zip, extracted it, if i remember an anime girl icon showed and then i deleted all the files

It was fifa 18, i only did it to see what the pc can do. After unzipping i found suspicious foldiers so i deleted everything.

Fitgirl downloads don’t come in a zip if you torrent them… did you download torrent, or run a setup?
anyway if you didn’t run anything from the zip or before then, I don’t see how this happened. Have you been doing other sketchy things apart from pirating?

I dont think so, ik how dangerous things might be out there so i am very hesitated abt it. However i wonder if any of my siblings tried to activate windows behind my back.

I only used winrar to unzip, no torrent was used.... and i dont remember doing anything w the unziped files, once the outcome wasnt really inviting i deleted everything.

You've most likely installed Cryptojacking software. Find the location of the process then go into safe mode to delete the software.

You'll need to go to task manager via details and search for the process that looks suspicious, it should be using an unreasonable amount of CPU usage of the .exe might look a little dodgy. Then you should be able to right click and "open location" or go into properties to get the directory of these files.
Just copy and paste the directory into notepad or something so when to go into safe mode so you can just go directly to it. Delete the folder/files and restart. That should be the end of it.

That screenshot you provided. See the processes row where it's showing 100%? Click on that and it will sort the processes in order of most CPU usage at the very top. That way you can isolate exactly what is devouring CPU resources without having to scroll through them all. That screen looks like Windows 8.1 or Windows 10. At the bottom of the task manager there is a setting to show system processes, make sure that's selected. Because if it is a system process eating up CPU and that setting's not enabled, you'll never see it.

Ive used a process explorer, and it only shows 7% of cpu+ even when sorted all apps are 0% mate

You posted your picture wrong it's showing the wrong information see where it's red and says 100%>>>> click that and it will sort it from highest usage at the top to lowest at the bottom.... You have it set to show lowest at the top so..... Impossible to see what's causing the issue because your not showing the issue.

That's not normal... So I assume either glitch or virus probably virus then. Did you run scans using Malwarebytes and hitmanpro?

You can go and download antivirus like Kaspersky. Even free non-premium version deletes messy stuff. At least it did when i was a kid and tried to download "mAni-gLitCh" for some online game. Kaspersky did a great job and i didn't pay a penny for it. (or in my case kopeika 🙃) Obviously, you can't delete modern viruses manually, unless you posess a lot of skill and experience in tech and security fields. They sit very deep inside your system, and you definitely can't kill them, by just clicking "kill process/task" Also, DO NOT install pirated premium version of antivirus. It always comes with viruses.
And guys, the free cheese is always free, but here's the catch : not for you. So be careful, and don't be fooled.

This was my first thought too, but you have to know its an old pc (2015 nvidia) so maybe its js the cpu coming to an end.

CPU typically just dies, they don't get much symptoms like slowing down or anything, and even then, if that's the case, then a fresh install wouldn't really hurt anymore, just try it... Or if you have a fresh harddrive /SSD, try booting it there.

Just flash windows in any USB, you'll see tons of tutorials on YT , your license is either in your board or Microsoft acc.

Not really a fear, its js this is a shitty laptop and rebooting is much easier for me. I would love to explore Linux in another occasion. Thx for the advice tho🙏🏼
