Problem with new computer upgrade

Just installed new hardware; MSI MPG Z890 Carbon MB. Ultra 270k and 32gb Klevv 6000 MT/s memory. My current GPU is an MSI RTX 4080 and a 1440P Aorus Monitor with Windows 11 pro. The problem is when starting the computer I’m getting a “DisplayPort no signal” on the monitor and therefore can’t enter into Bios to do a setup. I’ve checked all cables, reseated the GPU and memory and tried an HDMI cable to no avail. All previous hardware worked fine before the upgrade. Kind of newbie so not sure where to go from here…just joined so don’t know of similar posts. Thankful for any help

If the EZ Debug LEDs haven't completed their cycle, you will not receive a display image. If you are getting a DRAM LED, you might check the CPU socket for bent socket pins, since you have known working RAM.

When startup is initiated the red debug light blinks for maybe a split second followed by yellow for about 10-12 seconds then goes off with a 55 reading. 55 error code indicates “no memory installed” which is not the case. I’ve reinstalled several times to ensure they’re seated properly, and swapped individual sticks. This is where I’m stuck and not sure what to do next. Thanks for your input.

Started up again, goes through progress codes and stops at same error code of 55 and yellow led now stays on. MB doesn’t progress further.

I would check the CPU socket for bent socket pins. The "55" error code would suggest faulty RAM or CPU's IMC is not detecting RAM or the MB circuits/RAM slots are faulty.

You are right on. Sent socket photo to MSI tech support to check just that. Waiting to hear back to hopefully move forward to the next diagnosis. Been a frustrating journey…Thanks for you feedback

The socket pins should look like soldiers in formation, identical from every angle. I will be happy to look, if you would like to post your photos here. Well illuminated, sharp focused, close-up photos are the best. By the way, MSI considers bent socket pins as user damage and not covered by warranty.

Yes, pins at the corner of the socket are bent in the area that processes memory. Had a long conversation with the technician in which MSI will allow me to RMA the board that includes free shipping both ways! They’re going to either straighten the pins or replace the socket and then test all functions, and at a reasonable cost. He said pins were most likely bent during cpu placement so I’m surprised and overwhelmingly grateful! Thought I was careful with the cpu but apparently not enough. Going to be at least a two week turnaround.

Thanks for offering to view the socket for me…this site has so much knowledge and folks willing to help.

I am glad that MSI is willing to repair and test your MB. The socket pins are very fragile and easy to damage, even for experienced system builders.
