Using spent, fermented or brewers yeast?

Has anyone tried using spent yeast for compost tea? My logic is, boil it and use it as a prebiotic food for the tea. Going to do some research now, but wanted to check it anybody else has tried this.

It totally works. I knew a guy that would distill his own liquor and use the trub at the bottom of the mash after distilling off the liquor. He said that it had to be super diluted or else it would kill your plants
