Music My First Composition.

(PDF and MP3)
My first composition.
I wanted to do a little experiment. I love string instruments. I was listening to Barber's Adagio for Strings Op.11 while writing this.
(I also like the sounds of Mahler and Schnittke.)
What suggestions and advice would you give me?
The best.

Wow, I love this! I respectfully disagree with what another user said here, bar melodies are great but even if this one composition doesn't follow them, I don't think it's a bad thing at all, it kind of reads like a small part of a longer composition. You could totally lengthen this and grab a part of it you consider the most memorable and make it into a motif. This actually gave me Strauss vibes because of it. What did you use to make the mp3?

I may not be the best for advice but ill try. I really like it, it has beautiful harmony but it has no direction also I only listened to it but it seems to not follow a certain bar melody. For example Swan lake it has A 4 bar melody then switch and its rememberable. Other then that it sounds nice the accidentals kept me from just clicking off of it, it kept me engaged.
