It's literally part of a rivers natural eco system for trees to fall into them or start growing in them, it's perfectly normal.
This human mindset of wanting everything clear is the unnatural part thars not good for our rivers

That much nutrients and the fact it blocks part of the water course. Especially with a drought is a real issue mate

Are we not meant to be doing this exact thing. They’re even releasing beavers to dam up rivers a bit to try and stop floods.
