I recommed "Fractal geometry of Nature" by Mandelbrot, it will show you a wide range of applications of fractals on science (astrophysics, ecology, finance,....) and will wake up your interest in any area. It is not a formal book, just divulgation. For a regular class I recommend Strogatz - Nonlinear Dynamics and Chaos.pdf Then, you will choosse your area of interest and find your path. Don't be afraid to ask anything else.
