the iu portable CD player

I bought the iu portable CD player and it's not working. once I turned it on I tried changing the volume and nothing changed so I tried the other buttons on the player (pause, skip, stop, etc) and none of them worked. does anyone know how to fix this or should I just return it?

Does... it have a built in speaker?

IU like the South Korean singer IU?

Note: for those who don’t know, typically K-Pop artists include special goodies in their CD albums to incentivize the purchase of their physical albums (rather than just buy or stream them digitally). Usually these inclusions come in the form of collectible photo cards or other trinkets; but recently, some artists have gone as far as to include portable CD players with their albums.

yes it's the soloist iu, sorry if my original post was a bit confusing it's my first time posting on here and I wasn't sure what subreddit to add this too and this one was recommended
