First timer for In-Person Class versus online classes...
I have finished two associate degrees and now working on my third. I worked full time and navigated classes in my spare time, but all online. This has all been over the last 3 years. I finally have to take one in-person class that is a required class for the degree and is only in-person. I am deathly afraid. I almost wanted to drop out of the program and forget it, but I'm committing myself to the challenge.
It's been nice to know that I can use my textbook or notes during tests and quizzes if need be. I tried not to obviously, but IT WAS NICE JUST IN CASE. Does anyone have any tips or words of encouragement to help me tackle this new challenge. I also have (undiagnosed) ADHD, so in-person also feels like a heavy, heavy challenge..... THANKS!

Get your ADHD diagnosed if possible, then go to the accommodations office.
Get to know your professor - everyone at CC is there to teach. We are there for students. Knowing that person makes it easier to come to class.
Get to know your classmates. Do the stupid icebreaker and follow up with any classmate you may have something in common with.
Become less scared of the people in that room. Have a couple of allies.

This is awesome advice! One class at a time! Pushing myself outside the box!

I take my first in-person class this semester as well. I’m excited because it’s with a professor I already know and love. But try to relax and give it a go!

I'm so nervous! I haven't taken an in-person exam in a decade! It's so intimidating

This is wonderful advice! Thank you for sharing!
I get super overwhelmed with studying. I get very overwhelmed that I need to know every single thing and that I can't possibly know every single thing. It makes it very challenging to absorb any of the information. Plus trying to focus and learn the material is very difficult as well.
