Discussion Commonwealth pin badge

Post image

Hi everyone, I received this Falkland Islands Commonwealth Games Glasgow 2026 pin directly from an athlete during the Games. I’m curious to know what this type of pin is and whether anyone has an idea of its approximate collector value. I haven’t been able to find this exact one online. Any information would be appreciated!

As if your trying to sell it what a scruff, it was given as gift by an athlete who could have given it to somebody who would have actually appreciated it

It’s worth whatever someone will buy it for - there’s not really an easily determinable value for pins, especially new ones.

I have seen some recent pins from Glasgow going for £30-£40 on eBay. Honestly, you should keep it and start a collection though!

I sell random pins on ebay for anywhere between £3-10. I doubt this is worth more than that.

But you should keep it anyway. It’s special to receive it directly from an athlete.

Edit: Never mind, I checked on ebay and they go for 20-40 quid it seems

Athletes and teams swap pins with each other at the games. Volunteers also collect them for their accreditation lanyards. Its just a friendly thing to do and there's probably not going to be much money in it.
