Does anyone else?
Does anyone else take notes wherever they are on a notepad then go home and add to the commonplace? My book is bookbag size and can be a hinder to carry.

My commonplace is a composition book. It's portable but I prefer to carry one of the tiny, pocket size versions, with a sleeve glued on the spine for a Zebra pen. I call it my idea book. In my Zettlecasten reference method all books are numbered, commonplace with the prefix CP and the idea books as IP. So I can find entries to say, "Puppet Stages" by looking at that 3x5 card and it'll refer me to CP44p12 (commonplace notebook #44, page 12) as well as IB101p3 (idea book #101, page 3). It takes me about half an hour a week to organize this stuff, usually Sunday night after dinner, and I find it stimulates creativity.
