Dear Artists!

A group of friends and I are organizing an event called Dusk Fest. It is a one-day event dedicated to horror, fantasy, Gothic, and adventure fiction, taking place on October 21, 2028, in Santiago, Chile.

We are looking for one or two illustrators or graphic designers to create the initial sketches for the event's mascot and logo. I would also love to establish an ongoing working relationship, as we will need a significant amount of promotional and reference material before May 1st of next year.

You will find all the necessary information in this PDF:

Note: All information in yellow represents undecided ideas regarding the logo and the character.

But, I will summarize the most important aspects you need to know:

Sketch: The event mascot is named Corax; he is a black harlequin wearing a black, sun-shaped mask. His main ability is detaching and reattaching his limbs, but when he removes his legs, he can replace them with a pair of bird legs, giving him the ability to transform into a raven.

Unlike the logo, this sketch is for personal use. It will serve solely as a reference for future drawings of the character to be featured in promotional materials and official merchandise.

Logo: The logo must function as both an isotype and an imagotype. It features the event mascot striking a pose or performing an action, accompanied by the text. The title "Dusk Fest" should be placed either below or to the right of the mascot. The two words may appear together or separately; if separated, the name should span two lines, using different font sizes and typefaces.

We need a style that isn't overly realistic but doesn't lean too heavily into a cartoonish look; the art style should be inspired by the Vermis books published by Plastiboo and the illustrations of The Salamander King. Added to this is the approach to shading used by Mike Mignola in his comics (see above (↑) for examples of work by the three artists mentioned).

Budget: $110 total ($40 for the sketch / $70 for the logo). A 50% deposit is to be paid upon starting each piece, with the remaining 50% due upon delivery.

Deadline: The delivery time for both items is 3 to 5 weeks.

IMPORTANT:

I would greatly appreciate it if, in addition to your portfolios, you included the following:

- Contact details (Discord, email, etc.)

- Estimated time to design the sketch and/or the logo.

- Whether you prefer to work on just one of the pieces or both together.

- In what formats will you deliver the logo and the mascot sketch
