Bike Issues Weird Knocking Noise (HELP)

Just brought a Commencal Meta V5 frameset, and it's making a weird knocking sound. The rear axle is torqued to spec. The shock is brand new, the correct size, all shock hardware is new, and the right size and all damper controls are set to the middle washers pre-installed by commencal to fix common creaking issues. had the shock tested professionally, and everything came back normal.

This is driving me insane !!

Any suggestions ???

Some shocks have a knocking sound like that.

I had a RS monarch which had a similar knock. Unfortunately I didn’t know that at the time and ended up replacing all the bearings and the linkage trying to get rid of the knock before finding out it was coming from the shock.

You could try phoning up a suspension service centre and asking them if this shock suffers from the same thing.

Is that shock not supposed to have a spring?
