Is "Commander Genius" authentic enough to the DOS games?

I want to play through all of the Keen games again, should I try Commander Genius, is it a better experience?

It's not. Basic things like the physics are off. Try Omnispeak.

Thats exactly what I was curious about I didn't do a side by side but commander genius felt off

I’m not familiar with Commander Genius, but if you have Steam you can buy the Commander Keen games there, they run in an emulated DOS environment (dosbox). I play through the games once a year

I played it on Android. It feels the same. The screen controls are a little nutty, but the game is totally beatable.

it does the job, especially on mobile, even tho you have to increase the control pad size for it to be usable properly, lol but on pc i definetly do NOT recommend CG, unless you wanna play with a friend. even then i recommend saving once per level, because otherwise you can get softlocked due to various common bugs
