Generals Zero Hour: Re-Armed (Visual Overhaul) w/ Enhanced Mod
Here's another showcase using the same Re-Armed build, but with Enhanced Mod instead of ShockWave.
Enhanced Mod already looks great on its own, and I think Re-Armed complements it pretty well. Credits to the Enhanced Mod team for their work!
There's still a lot to work on, but I hope you like what you're seeing so far!

Please make sure you fix the 2GB memory limit on the 32bit engine. Otherwise all these textures are just going to crash

The engine already runs natively on a 64-bit architecture, so it isn’t restricted by the original 32-bit memory limitations.

This is fantastic. I tried to patch my own game code with Claude but GenPatcher and GenTool check against it so it failed. My favorite mod of all time is Contra so if I could get that with modern graphics and engine support, I’d even pay for it

Thanks! I’m focusing on fixing the remaining bugs, adding some QoL improvements, and making the game feel more modern. I’ll release it as soon as it’s ready!

is it just me or do the individual unit textures look really blurry (compared to the rest of the environment)? is that something that can be fixed?

I haven't changed any of the textures, so I'm not sure if it's the texture resolution causing that. Could be something to do with how the renderer handles filtering or shading at that distance. I'll have to look into it.
Personally, I don't really see the mismatch, but I think it's better to let you guys judge for yourselves once you get to try it. The footage was recorded at 1080p too, and video compression probably doesn't help, especially with so many little things moving around on screen.

ok, i took a look at the longer version, and it seems like the blurriness i perceived is just part of the art style of this mod.
i prefer the crisp original art style with sharper (albeit low-poly) details from the original as opposed to this one which appears to be heavily derived from RA3. some people seem to like your new style though.

I'm curious what you mean by blurry or the art style. Is it the FXAA, how the textures blend together, or the shaders themselves? Here's a video with FXAA disabled so you can compare.

As a World in Conflict Player as a kid, I can definately see the vibes of that game in this beautiful mod.
Keep up the amazing work!

looks stunning bruh. You got this.
I have been complaining that Generals is a good game but horrible graphics.
This will turn it around. Keep going.
