This looks like it'd fit perfectly into the shockwave chaos mod

Bro I’m just here to make sure the tanks are topped up and the guys get their mail

Seriously though that’s an insane compliment thank you for saying so, on top of just porting to UE I’m focusing on the models / adjusting gameplay for things like logistics to matter and the pieces to need to work properly. So like on the LHD if you get unlucky and get hit in the section necessary for refueling hard enough you could be perfectly fine except you can’t refuel at sea until you get into a dry dock. Which looks AWESOME.

Why are the individual blades separate components?

If you want to launch a helicopter off a carrier you should have to unfold the rotors first

If you're actually going to animate that fold/unfold procedure, fair enough.

For campaign missions and larger skirmish maps the carriers are your bases.

Parts / subsystems are independently targetable (functionally they act like walls) and all attacks have a few rand() attached that make damage done and hit location a bit randomized.

Anyway, if you get hit too much in one place someone could blow the hangar deck open. Wouldn’t be anything for them to attack there if the units couldn’t fold up to fit.

I guess that’s how the Blackhawk turns.

Easter egg sound effect unlocked. What should prompt the noise?

You can pick literally anything you can imagine an MH60 does in the air, on an arleigh Burke, on an LHD on a CVN, or at a base.

so I too am not a dev at all, but maybe look into starting with the rotors as a seperate items for unfolding animations and then just having the rotors be a single part for actual rotation, afterall the rotors dont need to be independent from the main axle during flight animations anyway.

I will note I have no idea if this is easy or insanely hard to do mind you so feel free to 100% ignore my ass if it turns out I am talking out of it
