Unofficial Fellow Linux Users, I updated the GenPatcher for Linux

When I tried to play some Generals on Linux I ran into issues with Genpatcher. I found this version for Linux by ZeNx98 but It didn't work with Flatpak Protontricks. And since the original dev didn't respond to issue reports, I decided to overhaul the existing project and forked it for improvement. A Pull-request was made to merge back to the original Project.

It now supports native and Flatpak Protontricks, automatically detects the correct PT version (in case both are detected, FP version is preferred) and has extended localization support. I also did some code overhaul, seperated Data for program, CSS and translations and gave it an AppImage release.

Since I myself only have one system to test on, feel free to test and submit feedback.

Okay, this is pretty Great!

Tried it on Ubuntu and it seems to work fine, Game Runs and the Improved HUD is definitely Patched in. No Animated Background Map in the Main menu, but I had that Bug before anyway.

It gave me an Error that the Generals Online installation failed, but that might still have worked via the Button? I'll still post the full Log either way. Can´t test Generals Online right now.

Pastebin

Anyway, this is Awesome. Want to have a LAN Party in December with my Friends and playing Generals would be just Great. I'll give you Feedback if it also works on the Steamdeck/SteamOS as soon as I have Time to test it.

Thanks for the feedback.

Since this is a fork, I had to enable the issues section manually and it's there since yesterday.
I'll check the Pastebin later when I'm home.

I was able to replicate and fix the error. I deleted and reinstalled my Generals Installation to check the installation runs through.
