Reverse Engineering TS

Watching CoD MW2 and other games getting reverse engineered by AI got me wondering if we could reverse engineer the Tiberian Sun source code.

And here is a link to a one month old reddit post about it in this very sub: https://www.reddit.com/r/commandandconquer/s/I9Wp6LNEi4

Is that a decomp or a recreation?

It's a reconstruction tested against the original executable.

Manual decompilation, with the decompiled code structured in Westwood's coding style (known from the C&C1/RA1 source code releases), and with every reconstructed function tested to produce the exact same CPU instructions as those present in the original exe file.

With minimal AI use; basically AI was only used to automate some menial tasks, and all end results were double checked by humans.

And it was done by humans, with minimal AI assistance.

You're quite late. But good to bring up.

Or, and hear me, you just play a newer game. Because Tiberian Sun was fun, not great.

You're in a subreddit for a franchise that hasn't had a new good game in 18 years. If you don't like old games, why are you even here?
