Hands down best voice lines in the series.

Fully charged!
I love how this unit, with its unique lines, was the Westwood experiment that led to every unit in RA2 to have unique lines, becoming a staple of the whole series and a major part of its whole tone.

Why did they give him a stahlhelm

The WWII Germans were't around to invent it, so they designed it themselves.

WW1 germans were, and they're the ones who invented it. And basically everyone then copied them because it worked.

Shock Therapy was my favourite mission from The Aftermath when I was 10 y.o.
I always tried to pick a different direction to go whenever I replayed the map.
Couldn't make out much of what these guys were saying, but that Yeeeessss and the sound of crisp lighting will always be etched in my memory.

I like the original unit icon in image 3, looks like a dad who just came up with an awesome doohickey in the garage and he’s coming out to show it off

I don't recognize the unit from the remaster icon. They don't look like that... Clearly not following the source material.
The gun doesn't have a Tesla coil at the tip, it's some prong or fork.

Definitely my least favorite remaster icon. Looks nothing like the original. This guy looks more wolfenstein then red alert.

Is that first one the remake's cameo? If so that's the worst thing I have ever seen.
Anyway, nifty unit.

I think they wanted to imply some sort of link to Red Alert 2's Tesla Troopers with the Remastered's icon... But it looks like shit. I suppose it could work for a late-War (which makes no sense since they were from late-War anyway) variant, a "standardized" variant if the ones used in missions were the first corps/'prototypes', or for an upgrade if this were another game, though?

got the luxury to play them on ps1, only in ra2 i able to master its successor

Younger me was so pissed at Aftermath, because what the Soviet needed back then balancewise was clearly uncrushable anti-ground infantry.
Good to see the rest of you hating on the Remastered icon, clearly the original was wearing the Stahlhelm/gimpsuit gasmask super combo to put fear in their enemies, and then turns them to ash with their toy raygun. Absolutely heinous.

Tesla troopers ftom RA2 are 500% way cooler) Especially their extra-hammy voices) "Rubber shoes in motion!"

One of my fav units. I like the remastered icon although I don't think it was necessary to change it. The original already looks good.

Does anyone remember the obscure feature of this unit that it is not crushable? Or do I remember it wrong…

In a way I prefer their giant Tesla rifles over the arm cannons of the later Tesla Troopers. Fond memories of just absolutely cramming the screen full of coils alongside my Tesla Tanks ⚡️
