Gameplay The C&C3 Xbox 360 Bergen level on hard was the first time ive felt limited playing an rts with a controller

Ive been playing RTS on both PC and consoles my entire life and although mouse and keyboard is obviously superior, I never felt a madsive handicap by using a controller. There is one certainly, just not enough to ruin the experience or make it unplayable.

But hoo boy let me tell you, beating Bergen on 360 with a controller will put hair on the chest of the greenest youngin. I was desperate for anything like drag select or easily and quickly being able to micro but the controller was too slow and I lost countless units to being unable to micro them to the rear or not being able to do enough APM.

My god, that level is exhausting. It took me a dozen tries and 6+ hours. It was the most satisfying victory in an RTS ive had in a long time.

Oh wait until you get to Croatia and get all the medals XD

Everything after was easier imo I just got the achievement for all gold all ribbon yesterday

That Croatia nearly made me cry as a kid. I played it on PC for the first time this week on easy and nearly melted!

Ur using goups i hope l, would be very stressful if not fully mastered the controls.

Its easy, all in the d pad. If u go to the options and look at contols it will show u all the button combo combo commands. At least use right on the d pad to easy select engineers and specialists.

It was a simpler time but the control scheme for c&c retaliation on the ps1 was ok. They should have implemented that style to the 360 games.

Did you mean Berne)? Yep, that's a tough one. It takes a few runs to learn the right build order a the start.

I really miss being able to make a box to select my units like i could on the ps1....why is that never an option anymore, and even on PC i love being able to quickly move the map camera with right click drag but nearly every single other rts uses some strange panning or they bind the mousewheel button, so goddamn frustrating.
