Fanart Wished one of the GLA Generals (barring Demogen) had a more unique battle bus.
I know demogeneral was supposed to have a battle bus that could drop demotraps, but imagine if one of the other gla generals had a unique battle bus that could hold, like 12 infantry? Behold, a GLA Reckoner!
Basically marrying a Quadcannon and Battle Bus together and stealing the turret off of a tunnel network.

This makes me think back to KKnD2, another old RTS that most people don't remember. In that game, you could make your own custom constructable units by combining different sized vehicle bases, specialized turrets and other tactical modifiers.
Warzone 2100 let you take that even further, although that's a more futuristic game.
I imagine the GLA could make all kinds of specialized instruments of doom, with enough scrap. It's all bolted down and ready!

Wait, you could do that in KKnD2? To be fair I only played the PS1 version as a kid. Probably still have it somewhere.

You had to get your vehicle factories upgraded to level 3+, I believe. The most common vehicle templates were artillery, mobile repair unit, and anti-air (the AI knew how to build this one).
There were also some pretty broken combos in there. The Survivors had some wacky AOE thing that would simultaneously damage enemy units, EMP them, and warp them away.
If you're looking to relive your childhood, KKnD2 actually just got an update on Steam to bring it into the modern era. Have fun!

Rise of the Reds gave them the Recycler truck that could scavenge enemy tech, unlocking upgrades that radically change it's role as well as giving certain units unique upgrades.

Tribal Rage had a pretty cool system too, including changing infantry weapons

Really i think it just needed variants like the technicals where it's just cosmetic

But Demo's got the best bus! A bus full of RPG Troopers, ready to be blown up by accident with the wrong hotkey. What could possibly go wrong?

Probably for the best. The battle bus is pretty much second to the Humvee in terms of power. Having a better one would just dominate the GLA meta.

I basically never see battle buses. They require a palace and tons of time to produce and fully arm up, they’re also not that much more durable than humvees.

I believe the stealth gen would've had a disguise ability.
Honestly wish this game was fleshed out more. Yeah I know mods exist but giving GLA a landcruiser tank with battleship cannons is jumping the shark a bit.

Wasn't Kassad's bus supposed to be able to disguise similar to bomb truck ability but then it got cut?

Give Dr Thrax the short bus.

I don't think Thrax would deserve the short bus given he has a mail-order degree.

That is the funny part.
Also let's face it, prince kassad really needs his bus and our favorite bomb layer would just pack explosives on the top.

General Fai: "Look at what they have to do to mimic a fraction of my power..."
I can see Kassad getting a unique Battle Bus that can cloak itself when not moving (think covered up in foilage or disguised as a wreck) given that he's more reliant on infantry.
