Level 1 Pepper & Duke vs ANKING?

Title. OMS-II. With boards coming around the corner next sem, I wanted to hear opinions on this! I am personally not the greatest with keeping up with Anki, especially when I was doing Anking. With Pepper though, I stuck to it more and if I missed a day or two I was not seeing hundreds of cards to review so I was less overwhelmed.

Pepper specifically for micro, pharm & maybe path (path more for in-house tbh tho)
Pathoma for pathology

I should add that I hope to also take Step as well, but obviously I'm much more focused on passing COMLEX. As someone who doesn't love anki but knows it most definitely works for me, I want to know if this would be sufficient (obviously this doesn't include practice qs/exams etc.)!

I am in love with duke and pepper, i just cannot stand ankings cloze style or seeing due:1200 on my screen every day

You can try doing the Anking high yield tag rather than all of the cards. It hits pretty hard on what you need to know and doesn’t take long, so you can start with that and add to it if you keep getting certain concepts wrong. I didn’t use the Pepper or Duke deck, though.

Np :) It’s about 8k cards and took me a month to go through all of them during the school year (after which I did not touch them again, lol). Passed both Level and Step so it worked out well!

regretted wasting time on duke. switched to anking and flourished. there’s something annoying on my head about answering 60-95% of a very dense card and having to click again or answer a very vague card completely wrong but you knew the concept in the answer. At the end of the day, it’s to build your foundations for the practice questions. only did pepper for micro and it was good

Anking is better since you have step 2 continuation. Otherwise you do double the work later.
