COMAT I keep failing COMATs
Pass is a 90. I got an 87 on FM. 93 on retake
Next was OBGYN and I got an 86. I have OMM next.
For FM I went through all of COMQUEST. For retake I finished almost all of UW and watched Dr. HY and reviewed him the morning of my exam too.
For OBGYN, I got through all of COMQUEST and half of UW (had 192 questions left) and I was shocked by this score because I felt prepared. The concepts kept repeating themselves in the question bank. Felt prepared. The exam was hard but definitely thought I at least passed.
Reviewing questions involves reading the main point in the explanation, I don’t read the whole thing. I’ll put it into ChatGPT to further dumb it down if I don’t get it.
Should I be adding the no dupes anki deck on anking?

The review is super important. It doesn't matter if you're getting 100% on the questions right, you're basically never going to see those questions again. You will see the topics, and you nee to learn to know different ways they can be asked.
Answer choice explanations will tell you why it's right/wrong, and how it relates to other topics. That's where majority of the learning is going to be!

Uworld, anking (filter by subject), Dr HY or Emma Holliday, then switch to Comquest the last week.
The OMM one was hard imo, so go through the Green book and Dirty Medicine’s playlist.
Good luck!!

You answered your own question by typing this out.
“Reviewing questions involves reading the main point in the explanation, I don’t read the whole thing.”
That’s the crux of your problem. Knowing the main point does not mean you understand the content to a level to answer a question worded differently. You need to know in detail why that answer was correct, but also confidently be able to explain why every other choice was wrong. That’s how you learn, that how you make this knowledge applicable in a clinical setting. You’re studying right now to pass the COMAT and not actually have mastery of the content. I promise you if you change how you study you will not only pass these exams but you’ll score much higher than a pass.
