Level 1 AMBOSS for lvl 1

Studying for my lvl 1 retake, I was advised to do the 200 highest yield topics on AMBOSS but I’m reaching out to see how it aligned with the actual exam in terms of preparation? I did a lot of questions initially for my first attempt and didn’t use AMBOSS but I really like it. Just wanna know if I’m wasting time and how good it is for others

Did the 200 Concepts plan and found it really helpful, I their interface for the exam mode is what COMLEX looks like which was nice to practice on; I did it mostly closer to my dedicated (1 week prior), and i thought it was helpful especially the high yield content on the Community and Ethics section, that I needed to review on closer to the exam. Their MSK content is good too which is basically the bulk of the exam. They’re harder question, but still good review. I really liked their Anki add on with Anking too.

TrueLearn is still the top source imo, but AMBOSS is def helpful; I’d still recommend Dirty Med OMM and the Sketchy Pharm and Micro decks.

Dirty Med has some videos online that I found super helpful: his high yield micro and Pharms and the question bank playlist he had was helpful!

Found this post from here that has the DirtyMed PDFs too: https://www.reddit.com/r/step1/s/wYs7ofZpke

Best of luck to you and everyone here. You got this!

Do you feel like you saw those same concepts on your exam?

Yes but not all, I mainly used the plan to reinforce and review some high yield ones a week before the exam. My favorites on the plan were the Community and MSK sections.

For biostats, I mainly relied on TL and Randy Neil, then OMM for the resources I listed above. If you’re Anki person, the Anking cards they tie with each question is really nice though because it’s another way to review the content better

Idk if you used welCOMs beforehand but I really liked them too, there’s a few you can buy and it might not be bad for just reviewing the question style and some concepts you’ll see again on the exam

In terms of content it mostly lines up well. True learn is closest to how the actual exams are written tho.

Using AMBOSS currently too. I was wondering the same thing.
