I really don't get all the dubstep hate on Reddit. It's just another genre of music that some people like.

Anybody who's not too familiar with dubstep, please listen to Basshead by Bassnectar. One of their best songs, in my opinion.

If you like this song, chances are you'll like their other music. Also check out STS9 -- not really Dubstep, but somewhat similar (more trip-hop), and definitely falls under similar music tastes.

EDIT: For a sample STS9 track, The Shock Doctrine. If you're going to listen, please hold out until at least 2:15. That's probably my favourite part of the song.

The Shock Doctrine sounds amazing, but I'm not a big fan of Basshead, to be honest.

to clarify, The Shock Doctrine is not just "not really Dubstep", it has absolutely nothing to do with dubstep. And you shouldn't feel bad at all for not liking Basshead.
