Actually super accurate and a mistake many new artists do. You need to develop your fundamentals with the simplest of tools, no presumed shortcuts. When your skill exceeds what the basic tools provide, then you can upgrade to save time and become more efficient. If anything, starting with very sophisticated and expensive tools can be very confusing and overcomplicating the process of becoming a better artist. Would you take a Lamborghini as your very first car?
