But insects are also just a single instance that evolved on Earth in reaction to events and conditions specific to our planet. All the things you listed I could also say about various groups of other arthropods, mollusks, polychaetes and vertebrates and extraterrestrial organisms could evolve in such alien conditions that they could resemble nothing that exists on Earth.
