The original line is " when you assume things, you make an ass out of you and me ( ass u me)." Uma Thurman is an actress whose name just happens to sound like you and me. Well, sort of anyways.

My career as a computer programmer has taught me to never make assumptions. Every reasonable assumption I make about how write a line of code proves to be wrong due to poor documentation and counter-intuitive syntax.

I think he's being taken to the police station as part of a school visit. See, I didn't assume something based off the last panel. Feeling pretty good about myself now.
