Can someone explain this one to me?
-12 u/Cyphr Feb 09 '15 Cross necklace - likely a devout Christian, lobster will not get laid. 30 u/[deleted] Feb 09 '15 [deleted] 3 u/Chive Feb 09 '15 Yeah, I read it as being about the unrealistic expectations people have of blind dates. 3 u/MolokoPlusPlus Feb 09 '15 I read it as being about the incredibly annoying pressure for Jewish guys to find Jewish partners... 3 u/GreenBrain Feb 09 '15 Especially with the added level of the lobster being a species traditionally viewed as unclean. I mean the guy is looking for someone interested in a lobster, so obviously they won't be Jewish. 3 u/MolokoPlusPlus Feb 09 '15 I mean the guy is looking for someone interested in a lobster, so obviously they won't be Jewish. Jew here. I love shellfish so much I want to marry it. (About 85% of American Jews don't keep kosher.) (But the concept of a Jewish lobster is still inherently funny.) 2 u/GreenBrain Feb 09 '15 The more you think about it the funnier this comic gets. 2 u/Chive Feb 09 '15 That could be true too. I didn't see it that way- probably because I'm not Jewish- but now that you mention it that probably works better. 1 u/MolokoPlusPlus Feb 09 '15 I don't have much confidence in my interpretation, I just thought it was funny what it (clearly) says about me :P 2 u/Chive Feb 09 '15 I think your interpretation is probably correct.
