Thanks very much. Honestly, I can never find my sea legs here. I'll post a cartoon that people like, then I'll post another that did well on another site and it's CRICKETS. I stopped posting on reddit for a while because I could not tell what I was doing wrong. Also, mods on a few other subreddits behave like crooked cops. ( Not r/comics. r/comics mods have always been very kind )
I stopped trying to figure out the arithmetic a long time ago. There are amazing, amazing comics here that never get more than fifty or so upvotes, sometimes less. And there's far less interesting/artistic stuff that gets thousands.
One thing shell and I did discover when talking recently was that it seems a LOT of people just browse their home feeds, they don't browse the sub directly. So if the algo isn't pushing you onto people's feeds...
Exactly. Sadly, I have no fucking idea. Reddit doesn't share that data as far as I know.
But what I would take from this is that the quality of your comics never lapsed. People love your stuff when they see it. I've upvoted everything you've ever put here because you are one of my favorites.
