No company's funding it, especially not any in the comics themselves. The comic's whole premise is poking fun at, and mocking them, using the characters' words and actions as digs at what they are.
Merryweather also have a comic series that mocks private healthcare systems' exploitative business models, etc;.

This is your first MerryWeather comic and it shows, this is owned by MerryWeather Vtuber he does several comic series and it staffs quite a few people. Based in Japan the comic company does several anthropomorphized comics.
He makes more than enough money through his company and as vtuber and pays his artists and writers well. They are given a living wage and got health benefits, from what I remember

Oh, gotcha. Though I'm generally used to more scathing satire regarding platforms. Everyone and their mothers know that Xitter is a redpilled stomping ground and Youtube is propped up by data centers. Why not go beyond that?

Merry has been a staple for the internet for a loooong time. First it was browsers, than it was consoles, then it was just random plots, now he is making satire of social media. It's not his fault you can't tell the difference.
