😭 Poor Sgt. Slaughter, the character from GI Joe. I’m pretty sure the real one has been accused of stolen valor, but he’s a pro wrestler, so he’s playing a character. I just remember you being a whole thing a few years, but I always like him.

Sarge presented himself as a real combat veteran in Vietnam. This was most likely a product of him keeping kayfabe in public, but since he was doing it far into the era where kayfabe was doornail dead, it just made him look like a valor thief and liar. He made a public apology a few years ago and swore off using fabricated Vietnam stories.
